Examples
Examples
Try the starting example
- Groups [earliest arrival minute, people]; enter JSON
- [[0,4],[1,3],[5,5]]
- People per cycle (count)
- 6
- Cycle spacing (minutes)
- 5
- Virtual slots [group,start minute,wait minutes] (JSON)
- [[1,0,0],[2,5,4],[3,10,5]]
- Oversized unallocated groups (count)
- 0
Try another scenario
- Groups [earliest arrival minute, people]; enter JSON
- [[0,5],[0,4],[4,4]]
- People per cycle (count)
- 8
- Cycle spacing (minutes)
- 6
- Virtual slots [group,start minute,wait minutes] (JSON)
- [[1,0,0],[2,6,6],[3,6,2]]
- Oversized unallocated groups (count)
- 0
Calculation method
Calculation method
Virtual slots [group, start minute, wait minutes] (JSON)
Process groups by earliest arrival; search cycle ceil(arrival/spacing) onward for remaining seats; oversized group null.
Oversized unallocated groups (count)
Count party size above cycle capacity.
Symbols and units
- a
- Groups [earliest arrival minute, people]; enter JSON
- b
- People per cycle (count)
- c
- Cycle spacing (minutes)
Use the units shown. A list keeps the order in which you enter its values. The symbol ^ means “raised to the power of”.
Assumptions & limits
Assumptions & limits
- Fixed ride cycles from minute zero; indivisible groups fill earliest cycle with sufficient remaining seats. Supported limits: All numeric inputs and computed intermediates must remain finite. Supported numeric input magnitude is zero or 1e-12 through 1e12 in absolute value; reject values outside this bounded range. All lists/JSON record tables are limited to 100 records unless a stricter bound is stated; reject malformed record arity and wrong member types. Arrivals>=0; group/cycle capacity positive integers; cycle spacing>0; <=100 groups.
