Calculation method
Calculation method
Restock orders [start,due,units] (JSON)
At interval start receive due refill; if stock<demand and no pending refill, order min(capacity−stock, reserve), due after lead intervals.
Stockout rows [interval,lost units] (JSON)
Consume min(available, demand); record each interval with lost sales.
Total lost sales (units)
Sum demand not served in simulation.
Symbols and units
- a
- Forecast sales by interval (units)
- b
- Display capacity (units)
- c
- Replenishment reserve (units)
- d
- Replenishment lead time (intervals)
Use the units shown. A list keeps the order in which you enter its values. The symbol ^ means “raised to the power of”.
Assumptions & limits
Assumptions & limits
- Reactive replenishment at the start of each sales interval. One outstanding refill, fixed user-supplied lead time; lost sales are not backordered. Supported limits: All numeric inputs and computed intermediates must remain finite. Supported numeric input magnitude is zero or 1e-12 through 1e12 in absolute value; reject values outside this bounded range. All lists/JSON record tables are limited to 100 records unless a stricter bound is stated; reject malformed record arity and wrong member types. Demand positive integer list; capacity positive integer, reserve and lead nonnegative integers; intervals uniform.
