Calculation method
Calculation method
Slat counts by blind
Round up slatted drop / measured vertical pitch for each blind.
Total slats
Add the slat counts.
One-face slat area (m²)
Sum width × slat count × actual slat surface width, then divide by 10,000.
Two-face cleaning time (minutes)
One-face area × two faces × measured minutes per square metre.
Symbols and units
- a
- Blind widths (cm)
- b
- Slatted drops excluding rails (cm)
- c
- Measured vertical pitch per slat (cm)
- d
- Actual slat surface width (cm)
- e
- Measured cleaning minutes per m²
Use the units shown. A list keeps the order in which you enter its values. The symbol ^ means “raised to the power of”.
Assumptions & limits
Assumptions & limits
- Pitch and actual slat width are different measurements. Exclude rails from the slatted drop. Assumes full-width slats, rounds the count upward and estimates two-face cleaning from your measured rate; fixtures and disassembly are separate.
