Try the starting example
- Planned departure minutes
- 0,10,25,40
- Service window start (minute)
- 0
- Service window end (minute)
- 60
- Consecutive headways (minutes, JSON)
- [10,15,15]
- Departures per service hour
- 4
Try another scenario
- Planned departure minutes
- 0,15,30
- Service window start (minute)
- 0
- Service window end (minute)
- 45
- Consecutive headways (minutes, JSON)
- [15,15]
- Departures per service hour
- 4
Calculation method
Calculation method
Consecutive headways (minutes, JSON)
Sort departures; successive differences.
Departures per service hour
Departure count×60/(window end−window start).
Symbols and units
- a
- Planned departure minutes
- b
- Service window start (minute)
- c
- Service window end (minute)
Use the units shown. A list keeps the order in which you enter its values. The symbol ^ means “raised to the power of”.
Assumptions & limits
Assumptions & limits
- Departures inside the half-open service window; gaps do not include window edges. Supported limits: All numeric inputs and computed intermediates must remain finite. Supported numeric input magnitude is zero or 1e-12 through 1e12 in absolute value; reject values outside this bounded range. All lists/JSON record tables are limited to 100 records unless a stricter bound is stated; reject malformed record arity and wrong member types. At least two distinct departures inside [start, end); end > start.
