Examples
Try the starting example
- Package test traces [name,[[elapsed hour,temperature °C],...]]; enter JSON
- [["A",[[0,18],[4,22],[8,28]]],["B",[[0,18],[4,20],[8,24]]]]
- Evaluated transit duration (hours)
- 8
- User band lower temperature (°C)
- 16
- User band upper temperature (°C)
- 24
- Observed time inside band by package (hours, JSON)
- {"A":5.33333333333,"B":8}
Try another scenario
- Package test traces [name,[[elapsed hour,temperature °C],...]]; enter JSON
- [["A",[[0,16],[3,20],[6,26]]],["B",[[0,18],[3,21],[6,23]]]]
- Evaluated transit duration (hours)
- 6
- User band lower temperature (°C)
- 17
- User band upper temperature (°C)
- 22
- Observed time inside band by package (hours, JSON)
- {"A":3.25,"B":4.5}
Calculation method
Calculation method
Observed time inside band by package (hours, JSON)
Clip each linear segment to transit duration and integrate interval length where lower<=temperature<=upper.
Symbols and units
- a
- Package test traces [name,[[elapsed hour,temperature °C],...]]; enter JSON
- b
- Evaluated transit duration (hours)
- c
- User band lower temperature (°C)
- d
- User band upper temperature (°C)
Use the units shown. A list keeps the order in which you enter its values. The symbol ^ means “raised to the power of”.
Assumptions & limits
Assumptions & limits
- Compare measured temperature traces by linear interpolation only within observed times. User-selected band is not a shipping standard. Supported limits: All numeric inputs and computed intermediates must remain finite. Supported numeric input magnitude is zero or 1e-12 through 1e12 in absolute value; reject values outside this bounded range. All lists/JSON record tables are limited to 100 records unless a stricter bound is stated; reject malformed record arity and wrong member types. Each trace starts at time 0 and extends through evaluated duration; >=2 strictly increasing timestamps; lower<=upper. No extrapolation or microbial/product suitability prediction.
