Calculation method
Calculation method
Closed-position voicings within bounds
For every occurrence of an allowed bass pitch, stack the other chord pitch classes in ascending cyclic order within the next octave. Keep only complete voicings inside both inclusive bounds.
Voicing count
Number of complete closed-position voicings retained.
Semitone span for each voicing
Highest note MIDI number − lowest note MIDI number, per voicing.

Use the units shown. A list keeps the order in which you enter its values. The symbol ^ means “raised to the power of”.
Assumptions & limits
Assumptions & limits
- Enumerates closed-position inversions with each pitch class used once. Does not generate open voicings, doubled notes, voice-leading optimisation or instrument-specific fingerings.
