Examples
Try the starting example
- Supply [name,units/visit,dispenser capacity units]; enter JSON
- [["Paper",2,200],["Soap",1,100]]
- Visitors by interval (count)
- 30,50,40
- Demand and refill counts by supply (JSON)
- [["Paper",240,[[2,160]],0,120],["Soap",120,[[2,80]],0,60]]
- Total visitor count
- 120
Try another scenario
- Supply [name,units/visit,dispenser capacity units]; enter JSON
- [["Paper",2.5,250],["Soap",1.2,100]]
- Visitors by interval (count)
- 40,60,50
- Demand and refill counts by supply (JSON)
- [["Paper",375,[[2,250]],0,125],["Soap",180,[[1,48],[2,72]],0,40]]
- Total visitor count
- 150
Calculation method
Calculation method
Demand and refill counts by supply (JSON)
Total demand=sum visitors×units/visit; start full dispenser, refill to full when next interval demand exceeds stock; if interval exceeds capacity report shortage.
Total visitor count
Sum interval visits.
Symbols and units
- a
- Supply [name,units/visit,dispenser capacity units]; enter JSON
- b
- Visitors by interval (count)
Use the units shown. A list keeps the order in which you enter its values. The symbol ^ means “raised to the power of”.
Assumptions & limits
Assumptions & limits
- Measured per-visit consumable use and constant interval demand, with refill quantities; no hygiene sufficiency standard. Supported limits: All numeric inputs and computed intermediates must remain finite. Supported numeric input magnitude is zero or 1e-12 through 1e12 in absolute value; reject values outside this bounded range. All lists/JSON record tables are limited to 100 records unless a stricter bound is stated; reject malformed record arity and wrong member types. Positive capacity, nonnegative measured use; <=100 intervals; one refill at each interval start only.
