Construction delivery laydown capacity calculator

Calculate package placements [ID,arrival, departure,x,y,width, height] with your own figures.

Your numbers

Use the units shown. Results update as you change valid inputs.

Use package placements [ID,arrival, departure,x,y,width, height] to compare changes to your inputs. The method and limits below explain the scope.

Calculation method

Calculation method

Package placements [ID,arrival,departure,x,y,width,height]

At arrival release ended packages, try lower-left grid candidates formed by 0 and active rectangle right/top edges in y,x order; first nonoverlap fit.

Time trace [hour,demand area,placed area,area excess m²]

At every arrival/departure half-open time event, sum active demanded/placed footprints.

Unplaced package IDs

Greedy fit failures stay unplaced for entire planned residence; no relocation or retry.

Peak demanded area (m²)

Maximum active sum of all package footprints, including unplaced.

Symbols and units
a
JSON Packages [ID,arrival hour,installation/removal hour,width m,height m]
b
Laydown width (m)
c
Laydown height (m)

Use the units shown. A list keeps the order in which you enter its values. The symbol ^ means “raised to the power of”.

Assumptions & limits

Assumptions & limits

  • Actual fixed package placements and timestamped demand; axis-aligned, no rotation, no stacking or relocation. Heuristic can fail despite alternative packing; outputs do not certify site access. Supported limits: Up to 50 packages; positive dimensions and arrival<departure.
