Calculation method
Calculation method
Width repeats
Round up max(0, target width − two borders) × stitch gauge / stitches per repeat.
Height repeats
Round up max(0, target height − two borders) × row gauge / rows per repeat.
Foundation stitches
Width repeats × stitches per repeat + additional foundation stitches.
Finished width (cm)
Width repeats × stitches per repeat / stitch gauge + two borders.
Finished height (cm)
Height repeats × rows per repeat / row gauge + two borders.

Assumptions & limits
Assumptions & limits
- Rectangular repeat arithmetic with a uniform border. Gauges must come from your finished swatch. Foundation extras do not add to the modelled body width; actual edge stitches and turning chains follow your pattern.
