Calculation method
Calculation method
Styles missing at least one stocked core size
A core size is missing when absent or with zero stock.
Demand-weighted stocked core coverage by style (%)
Sum supplied weights of stocked core sizes / all core weights×100.
Missing core sizes by style
List every missing core size; noncore stock is retained but does not count toward core coverage.
Recorded units tied to broken core runs
Sum all recorded variant stock in styles missing any required core size.
Share of observed styles with broken core runs (%)
Broken style count/observed style count×100.
Symbols and units
- a
- Required core sizes: name, relative demand weight
- b
- Stock records: style, size, stock units
Use the units shown. A list keeps the order in which you enter its values. The symbol ^ means “raised to the power of”.
Assumptions & limits
Assumptions & limits
- Core sizes and weights are explicitly supplied. A broken run is a catalogue metric under that definition, not a decision to delist stock or a forecast of lost sales.
