Calculation method

Calculation method

Fit-labelled returns / sold units (%)

Sum fit-labelled returns / sold units×100.

All returns / sold units (%)

Sum disjoint fit and other returns / sold×100.

Fit-labelled share of returned units (%)

Fit returns / all returned units×100.

Fit-labelled return rate by category (%)

Aggregate supplied cells by category before dividing fit returns by sold units.

Fit-labelled return rate by category/size (%)

For each supplied cell divide fit returns by sold units. Zero denominators stay explicitly undefined.

Symbols and units
a
Category/size cells: category, size, units sold, fit-labelled returned units, other returned units

Use the units shown. A list keeps the order in which you enter its values. The symbol ^ means “raised to the power of”.

Assumptions & limits

  • A denominator-aware report of reasons already labelled in the supplied records. It does not infer fit, product quality, customer intent or a causal explanation for returns.
