Examples
Examples
Try the starting example
- Sessions [driver identifier,energy kWh,eligible fraction]; enter JSON
- [["A",10,1],["B",20,0.5],["A",5,1]]
- Reimbursement rate (USD/kWh)
- 0.3
- Reimbursement by driver (JSON) (USD)
- {"A":4.5,"B":3}
- Total reimbursement (USD)
- $7.50
Try another scenario
- Sessions [driver identifier,energy kWh,eligible fraction]; enter JSON
- [["A",12,0.5],["B",8,1]]
- Reimbursement rate (USD/kWh)
- 0.4
- Reimbursement by driver (JSON) (USD)
- {"A":2.4,"B":3.2}
- Total reimbursement (USD)
- $5.60
Calculation method
Calculation method
Reimbursement by driver (JSON) (USD)
Sum session energy×eligible fraction×rate by driver; round each driver total to US cents.
Total reimbursement (USD)
Sum the rounded driver totals.
Symbols and units
- a
- Sessions [driver identifier,energy kWh,eligible fraction]; enter JSON
- b
- Reimbursement rate (USD/kWh)
Use the units shown. A list keeps the order in which you enter its values. The symbol ^ means “raised to the power of”.
Assumptions & limits
Assumptions & limits
- Flat user-entered reimbursement rates; row driver identifiers are grouped verbatim. Supported limits: All numeric inputs and computed intermediates must remain finite. Supported numeric input magnitude is zero or 1e-12 through 1e12 in absolute value; reject values outside this bounded range. All lists/JSON record tables are limited to 100 records unless a stricter bound is stated; reject malformed record arity and wrong member types. All numeric values must be finite. Lists contain at most 100 records; required lists must be nonempty. Rates, probabilities and fractions are entered as fractions, not percentages; fractions must be between 0 and 1. Use a single consistent user-selected currency for all amounts; no exchange-rate conversion.
