Examples
Try the starting example
- Provider tariffs [name,connection currency,energy currency/kWh,time currency/min,idle currency/min]; enter JSON (USD)
- [["A",1,0.4,0.02,0.1],["B",0,0.5,0,0.2]]
- Delivered energy (kWh)
- 20
- Charging duration (minutes)
- 40
- Post-charge parked time (minutes)
- 15
- Idle grace (minutes)
- 5
- Provider session totals (JSON) (USD)
- {"A":10.8,"B":12}
Try another scenario
- Provider tariffs [name,connection currency,energy currency/kWh,time currency/min,idle currency/min]; enter JSON (USD)
- [["A",2,0.35,0.01,0.2],["B",1,0.4,0,0.1]]
- Delivered energy (kWh)
- 30
- Charging duration (minutes)
- 60
- Post-charge parked time (minutes)
- 20
- Idle grace (minutes)
- 10
- Provider session totals (JSON) (USD)
- {"A":15.1,"B":14}
Calculation method
Calculation method
Provider session totals (JSON) (USD)
Connection+energy×energy rate+charge minutes×time rate+max(0,post-charge minutes−grace)×idle rate.
Symbols and units
- a
- Provider tariffs [name,connection currency,energy currency/kWh,time currency/min,idle currency/min]; enter JSON (USD)
- b
- Delivered energy (kWh)
- c
- Charging duration (minutes)
- d
- Post-charge parked time (minutes)
- e
- Idle grace (minutes)
Use the units shown. A list keeps the order in which you enter its values. The symbol ^ means “raised to the power of”.
Assumptions & limits
Assumptions & limits
- Tariff rows are user-supplied; idle charges apply after the entered grace period, with no tariff blocks or caps. Supported limits: All numeric inputs and computed intermediates must remain finite. Supported numeric input magnitude is zero or 1e-12 through 1e12 in absolute value; reject values outside this bounded range. All lists/JSON record tables are limited to 100 records unless a stricter bound is stated; reject malformed record arity and wrong member types. All numeric values must be finite. Lists contain at most 100 records; required lists must be nonempty. Rates, probabilities and fractions are entered as fractions, not percentages; fractions must be between 0 and 1. Use a single consistent user-selected currency for all amounts; no exchange-rate conversion.
