Calculation method
Calculation method
Tariff line table [window,kWh,max interval kW,energy currency, demand currency] (USD)
Integrate trace/window intersections; demand=max supplied interval-average kW overlapping that window; multiply by supplied rates.
Total energy charge (USD)
Sum each window energy*energyRate.
Total demand charge (USD)
Sum each window maxIntervalPower*demandRate.
Scenario invoice total (USD)
fixed+energyCharge+demandCharge.
Symbols and units
- a
- Complete nonoverlapping average-load trace JSON [start minute, end minute, average grid kW]
- b
- Explicit nonoverlapping tariff windows JSON [ID,start minute, end minute,currency/kWh,currency/kW demand] (USD)
- c
- User fixed invoice charge (USD)
Use the units shown. A list keeps the order in which you enter its values. The symbol ^ means “raised to the power of”.
Assumptions & limits
Assumptions & limits
- Explicit simple tariff scenario using already averaged intervals; all windows supplied, distinct demand charge per window. Does not infer billing month, demand integration period, ratchets, minimums, coincident/system peaks, taxes or actual utility tariff. Windows must cover trace exactly and align with trace boundaries. Supported limits: 1..1000 contiguous load intervals, nonnegative average kW; nonoverlapping contiguous tariff windows cover same trace span; window boundaries align with trace; rates/fixed>=0.
