Try another scenario
- Battery capacity (kWh)
- 80
- Starting state of charge (fraction)
- 0.25
- Departure energy target (kWh)
- 60
- Grid charging power (kW)

Calculation method
Calculation method
Required grid energy (kWh)
max(0,target−capacity×starting fraction)/efficiency.
Departure deficit (kWh)
max(0,target−min(capacity,capacity×start+power×hours×efficiency)).
Symbols and units

Use the units shown. A list keeps the order in which you enter its values. The symbol ^ means “raised to the power of”.
Assumptions & limits
Assumptions & limits
- Constant charging power and efficiency; no taper or battery thermal model. Supported limits: All numeric inputs and computed intermediates must remain finite. Supported numeric input magnitude is zero or 1e-12 through 1e12 in absolute value; reject values outside this bounded range. All lists/JSON record tables are limited to 100 records unless a stricter bound is stated; reject malformed record arity and wrong member types. Starting fraction and efficiency in [0,1], efficiency > 0; target <= capacity.
