- Per-crate trailing clearance (metres)

Calculation method
Calculation method
Crate placement proposal (JSON)
Inflate each width/depth by clearance; input-order shelf pack without rotation. Rectangles do not overlap; no stacking permitted.
Unplaced crates (count)
Count crates outside bounded floor layout under this shelf heuristic.
Symbols and units
- a
- Crate footprints [width metres, depth metres]; enter JSON
- b
- Store width (metres)
- c
- Store depth (metres)
- d
- Per-crate trailing clearance (metres)
Use the units shown. A list keeps the order in which you enter its values. The symbol ^ means “raised to the power of”.
Assumptions & limits
Assumptions & limits
- Conservative no-stacking/no-rotation shelf arrangement of crates, with each footprint inflated by a user aisle allowance. Supported limits: All numeric inputs and computed intermediates must remain finite. Supported numeric input magnitude is zero or 1e-12 through 1e12 in absolute value; reject values outside this bounded range. All lists/JSON record tables are limited to 100 records unless a stricter bound is stated; reject malformed record arity and wrong member types. Positive dimensions; clearance>=0; <=100 crates. Trailing clearance is a geometric allowance and does not establish continuous emergency or handling access.
