Food reusable crate wash capacity calculator

Calculate batch ready schedule [batch, crates, ready minute] and final ready-to-use time with your own figures.

Your numbers

Use the units shown. Results update as you change valid inputs.

Use batch ready schedule [batch, crates, ready minute] and final ready-to-use time to compare changes to your inputs. The method and limits below explain the scope.

Examples

Examples

Try the starting example

Returned crates (count)
45
Wash batch capacity (crates)
20
Wash cycle (minutes)
10
Drying batch positions (count)
2
Dry time per batch (minutes)
20
Batch ready schedule [batch, crates, ready minute] (JSON)
[[1,20,30],[2,20,40],[3,5,50]]
Final ready-to-use time (minutes)
50

Try another scenario

Returned crates (count)
60
Wash batch capacity (crates)
25
Wash cycle (minutes)
12
Drying batch positions (count)
1
Dry time per batch (minutes)
15
Batch ready schedule [batch, crates, ready minute] (JSON)
[[1,25,27],[2,25,42],[3,10,57]]
Final ready-to-use time (minutes)
57
Calculation method

Calculation method

Batch ready schedule [batch, crates, ready minute] (JSON)

Sequential washer batches; each wash end joins earliest-free drying position; dry start=max(wash end, position free).

Final ready-to-use time (minutes)

Maximum drying completion; zero if no returned crates.

Symbols and units
a
Returned crates (count)
b
Wash batch capacity (crates)
c
Wash cycle (minutes)
d
Drying batch positions (count)
e
Dry time per batch (minutes)

Use the units shown. A list keeps the order in which you enter its values. The symbol ^ means “raised to the power of”.

Assumptions & limits

Assumptions & limits

  • Wash batches followed by one drying position per batch; each drying position holds an entire wash batch. Supported limits: All numeric inputs and computed intermediates must remain finite. Supported numeric input magnitude is zero or 1e-12 through 1e12 in absolute value; reject values outside this bounded range. All lists/JSON record tables are limited to 100 records unless a stricter bound is stated; reject malformed record arity and wrong member types. All numeric values must be finite. Lists contain at most 100 records; required lists must be nonempty. Rates, probabilities and fractions are entered as fractions, not percentages; fractions must be between 0 and 1. Use a single consistent user-selected currency for all amounts; no exchange-rate conversion.
