Examples
Examples
Try the starting example
- Repair outages [room, start ISO date, end ISO date]; enter JSON
- [["101","2026-11-01","2026-11-04"]]
- Bookings [room,check-in ISO date,check-out ISO date]; enter JSON
- [["101","2026-11-02","2026-11-03"],["102","2026-11-02","2026-11-04"]]
- Lost available room-nights (count)
- 3
- Affected booking indices (JSON)
- [1]
Try another scenario
- Repair outages [room, start ISO date, end ISO date]; enter JSON
- [["101","2026-11-01","2026-11-03"],["102","2026-11-02","2026-11-05"]]
- Bookings [room,check-in ISO date,check-out ISO date]; enter JSON
- [["101","2026-11-02","2026-11-04"],["102","2026-11-03","2026-11-04"]]
- Lost available room-nights (count)
- 5
- Affected booking indices (JSON)
- [1,2]
Calculation method
Calculation method
Lost available room-nights (count)
Count distinct (room, date) pairs covered by supplied outages; overlap does not double count.
Affected booking indices (JSON)
Flag same-room bookings whose [in,out) interval overlaps any outage.
Symbols and units
- a
- Repair outages [room, start ISO date, end ISO date]; enter JSON
- b
- Bookings [room,check-in ISO date,check-out ISO date]; enter JSON
Use the units shown. A list keeps the order in which you enter its values. The symbol ^ means “raised to the power of”.
Assumptions & limits
Assumptions & limits
- Named-room repair outages and bookings use half-open calendar nights; classes are represented by user room identifiers. Supported limits: All numeric inputs and computed intermediates must remain finite. Supported numeric input magnitude is zero or 1e-12 through 1e12 in absolute value; reject values outside this bounded range. All lists/JSON record tables are limited to 100 records unless a stricter bound is stated; reject malformed record arity and wrong member types. Valid ISO start<end; each outage length<=366; no date-range truncation.
Are these inputs private?
