Try the starting example
- Accessory currents (amperes)
- 0.3,0.2,0.4
- Branch operating limits (amperes)
- 0.5,0.5
- Branch assignment and loads (JSON)
- {"assignments":[2,2,1],"loads":[0.4,0.5],"unassigned":[]}
- Unallocated accessories (count)
- 0
Try another scenario
- Accessory currents (amperes)
- 0.4,0.4,0.4,0.3
- Branch operating limits (amperes)
- 0.7,0.7
- Branch assignment and loads (JSON)
- {"assignments":[1,2,null,1],"loads":[0.7,0.4],"unassigned":[3]}
- Unallocated accessories (count)
- 1
Calculation method
Calculation method
Branch assignment and loads (JSON)
Sort accessories by descending current; choose feasible branch with lowest current then index; null means gap.
Unallocated accessories (count)
Count unassigned accessories after deterministic greedy allocation.
Symbols and units
- a
- Accessory currents (amperes)
- b
- Branch operating limits (amperes)
Use the units shown. A list keeps the order in which you enter its values. The symbol ^ means “raised to the power of”.
Assumptions & limits
Assumptions & limits
- Greedy accessory-to-branch allocation using supplied current limits; does not assess electrical protection. Supported limits: All numeric inputs and computed intermediates must remain finite. Supported numeric input magnitude is zero or 1e-12 through 1e12 in absolute value; reject values outside this bounded range. All lists/JSON record tables are limited to 100 records unless a stricter bound is stated; reject malformed record arity and wrong member types. All numeric values must be finite. Lists contain at most 100 records; required lists must be nonempty. Rates, probabilities and fractions are entered as fractions, not percentages; fractions must be between 0 and 1. Use a single consistent user-selected currency for all amounts; no exchange-rate conversion.
