Pallet wrap consumption calculator

Calculate body turns per pass and applied film path with your own figures.

Your numbers

Use the units shown. Results update as you change valid inputs.

Use body turns per pass and applied film path to compare changes to your inputs. The method and limits below explain the scope.

Calculation method

Calculation method

Body turns per pass

One full starting turn plus roundUp(max(0,height−film width)/(film width × (1−overlap/100))).

Applied film path (m)

Each body pass has one perimeter turn plus helical turns spanning the remaining height. Add the extra top and bottom perimeter turns.

Unstretched film consumed (m)

Applied path divided by the supplied applied-to-unstretched length ratio.

Whole rolls required

Round up unstretched consumption / roll length.

Assumptions & limits

Assumptions & limits

  • Ideal rectangular-perimeter/helical centreline model using applied film width. Each body pass includes one full edge turn; extra edge turns are additional. Stretch ratio is length-based, not percent elongation. Neck-down, corner radii, overlap distortions, tails and damage are excluded.
