Calculation method
Calculation method
Sizes matching both measurements
A size matches only when both measurements are inside its inclusive supplied ranges.
Matching sizes on an inclusive chart boundary
Flag a matched size when either measurement equals either endpoint.
Smallest distance to any supplied limit per match (cm)
For each matching size take min(neck−min neck,max neck−neck,chest−min chest,max chest−chest).
Matching chart rows
Count complete two-measurement matches; keep multiple matches visible.
Symbols and units
- a
- Measured neck circumference (cm)
- b
- Measured chest circumference (cm)
- c
- Chart: size, minimum neck, maximum neck, minimum chest, maximum chest cm
Use the units shown. A list keeps the order in which you enter its values. The symbol ^ means “raised to the power of”.

- A lookup in your supplied manufacturer neck/chest chart. It does not select a safety-certified harness, infer ease allowance or resolve overlapping sizes into a fit recommendation.
