Calculation method
Calculation method
Required sheet width, height (mm)
Columns×card width+(columns−1)×gutter+2×trim, and the corresponding row formula.
Finished card count
Columns × rows.
Vertical strip-separation cuts
Each internal column boundary needs one cut at zero gutter or two cuts to discard a positive gutter.
Horizontal cuts across all strips
Each strip needs row boundaries cut in the same way; multiply by column count.
Outer-trim cuts
Four edge trims when trim is positive, otherwise zero.
Total cuts without stacking strips
Vertical + per-strip horizontal + outer trims. No strip stacking is assumed.
Cut positions from trimmed-grid origin (mm)
Column cuts in X, then identical Y positions within each separated strip.

Assumptions & limits
Assumptions & limits
- Ideal grid guillotine sequence: trim outside edges, separate columns, then cut rows within each strip. Every strip is cut separately and gutters are discarded with two cuts. Equipment operation, clamp depth and safe handling require manufacturer instructions.
