Calculation method

Calculation method

Wilson lower bound

Set p = a/b, D = 1+c²/b, centre = (p+c²/(2b))/D and half-width = c × sqrt(p(1−p)/b+c²/(4b²))/D. Lower bound = centre − half-width.

Wilson upper bound

Using the same centre and half-width, upper bound = centre + half-width.
