Examples
Try the starting example
- Tables [seats, minutes until available]; enter JSON
- [[2,10],[4,20]]
- Queued party sizes
- 2,4,2
- Expected dining plus reset (minutes)
- 60
- Estimated seating [party, table, wait minutes] (JSON)
- [[1,1,10],[2,2,20],[3,1,70]]
- Unseatable parties (count)
- 0
Try another scenario
- Tables [seats, minutes until available]; enter JSON
- [[2,5],[4,15]]
- Queued party sizes
- 4,2,4
- Expected dining plus reset (minutes)
- 45
- Estimated seating [party, table, wait minutes] (JSON)
- [[1,2,15],[2,1,5],[3,2,60]]
- Unseatable parties (count)
- 0
Calculation method
Calculation method
Estimated seating [party,table,wait minutes] (JSON)
For each party choose compatible table with earliest modeled availability, tie smaller table then index; reserve for dining+reset.
Unseatable parties (count)
Party has no individual table with enough seats; no table combination inferred.
Symbols and units
- a
- Tables [seats, minutes until available]; enter JSON
- b
- Queued party sizes
- c
- Expected dining plus reset (minutes)
Use the units shown. A list keeps the order in which you enter its values. The symbol ^ means “raised to the power of”.
Assumptions & limits
Assumptions & limits
- Fixed queue order and expected table departures; deterministic estimates with no probabilistic confidence interval. Supported limits: All numeric inputs and computed intermediates must remain finite. Supported numeric input magnitude is zero or 1e-12 through 1e12 in absolute value; reject values outside this bounded range. All lists/JSON record tables are limited to 100 records unless a stricter bound is stated; reject malformed record arity and wrong member types. All numeric values must be finite. Lists contain at most 100 records; required lists must be nonempty. Rates, probabilities and fractions are entered as fractions, not percentages; fractions must be between 0 and 1. Use a single consistent user-selected currency for all amounts; no exchange-rate conversion.
