- Parking bays each day
- 2
- Number of days in rotation

- Unserved resident-day requests
- 2
- Total allocated bay-days

Calculation method
Calculation method
Parking rotation by day
For each day choose available residents by lowest allocated-days/priority-weight, then input order; each resident receives at most one bay per day.
Allocated days by resident
Count granted days.
Unserved resident-day requests
Count eligible requested resident-days minus grants.
Total allocated bay-days
Sum all grants across the horizon.
Symbols and units
- a
- Residents: name, requested day numbers joined by |, priority weight
- b
- Parking bays each day
- c
- Number of days in rotation
Use the units shown. A list keeps the order in which you enter its values. The symbol ^ means “raised to the power of”.
Assumptions & limits
Assumptions & limits
- A sequential weighted-fairness proposal under the requested day list. Priority weight changes how quickly grants increase the fairness score; it does not guarantee exact proportional shares or supersede parking rules.
