Calculation method
Calculation method
Run net cash result by scenario ($)
Attendance × (ticket income − variable cost) − committed costs − further fixed costs.
Cancel net cash result by scenario ($)
Attendance × (ticket income − cancellation refund) − committed costs − cancellation charges.
Run minus cancel by scenario ($)
Run result − cancellation result.
Preferred cash result by scenario
Choose the greater cash result, or Tie for equality.
Continuous attendance at equal cash result
(Further fixed costs − cancellation charges)/(refund per attendee − variable cost), when that crossing is non-negative; otherwise report no non-negative crossing.

Assumptions & limits
- A user-entered cash scenario, not legal cancellation advice or a forecast of attendance. The same ticket income is assumed received in each compared scenario. Refunds, sunk costs and additional cancellation costs are shown explicitly; reputational effects and tax are excluded.
