Calculation method

Calculation method

Allocated hours by job

Split overlapping distinct job labels equally or give priority to the first entered active label. Duplicate records for one job do not multiply its share.

Allocated labour cost by job ($)

Allocate the total union-time wage in exact US cents using largest remainders and input-order ties.

Distinct worked hours

Union of all recorded intervals/60.

Hours shared by multiple job labels

Union-time minutes with two or more distinct active job labels/60.

Sum of original recorded hours

Sum all entered record durations before overlap adjustment.

Symbols and units
a
Job records: job, start timestamp, end timestamp
b
Single-worker hourly cost ($)
c
Overlapping jobs: split or priority

Use the units shown. A list keeps the order in which you enter its values. The symbol ^ means “raised to the power of”.

Assumptions & limits

Assumptions & limits

  • A single-worker cost-allocation audit, not authority to divide or discard payable work time. Uses up to twenty job labels and a fixed-offset timestamp clock.
