Calculation method
Calculation method
Cumulative eligible net purchases ($)
Accumulate eligible purchases−returns; reject a negative cumulative base.
Cumulative earned rebate by period ($)
All-volume applies the achieved tier rate to the whole cumulative base. Marginal applies each tier only above its threshold and below the next, rounding each segment to US cents.
Incremental earned rebate by period ($)
Current cumulative earned−previous cumulative earned, so reversals remain visible.
Final earned rebate ($)
Final cumulative earned rebate under the supplied method.
Recorded rebate credits received ($)
Sum recorded cash/credit values supplied for these periods.
Earned rebate less credits received, signed ($)
Final earned−credits; negative is overcredited under this arithmetic model.
Additional eligible purchases to next tier ($)
Next threshold−current cumulative base, or explicit no-higher-tier status.

Assumptions & limits
- A cumulative rebate ledger under supplied eligibility and contract tiers. It does not infer the applicable rebate scheme, recognize revenue automatically or request supplier credits.
