Calculation method

Calculation method

Net kept-unit sell-through by cohort (%)

(Shipped−returned)/received×100; undefined for zero receipts.

Remaining physical stock by cohort

Received−shipped+restocked. The data must reconcile to non-negative physical stock.

Net kept units / all received units (%)

Sum kept units/sum received×100, avoiding an unweighted average of cohort rates.

Returned units not restocked

Sum returned−restocked; this reconciles received=kept+remaining stock+nonrestocked returns.

Receipt-cohort age in calendar days

As-of date−receipt date; future receipt records are rejected.

Assumptions & limits

Assumptions & limits

  • A supplied delivery-cohort unit reconciliation. Sales and returns must already be assigned to the correct cohort; no retailer records are linked automatically.
