Count immediate children after validating all manager links and rejecting cycles.
Indirect reports excluding direct reports
Count all descendants minus immediate children.
Depth from root by employee
Roots have depth zero; each manager step increases depth by one.
Root employee IDs
List records whose supplied manager is none; multiple roots form a forest.
Maximum reporting depth
Maximum validated root depth.
Managers with at least one direct report
Count records with at least one child.
Employees without direct reports
Count leaves, including isolated roots.
