Support customer satisfaction weighting calculator

Calculate score under selected segment weights and raw positive response share with your own figures.

Your numbers

Use the units shown. Results update as you change valid inputs.

Use score under selected segment weights and raw positive response share to compare changes to your inputs. The method and limits below explain the scope.

Examples

Examples

Try the starting example

Segments: name, contacts, survey responses, positive responses, custom weight
A,100,10,9,1 B,900,10,5,1
Weight base: volume, responses or custom
volume
Score under selected segment weights (%)

Raw positive response share (%)
70
Recorded survey responses
20
Responses / contacts (%)
2
Positive share by observed segment (%)
A: 90; B: 50

Try another scenario

Positive share by observed segment (%)

Calculation method

Calculation method

Score under selected segment weights (%)

Take weighted segment positive-response rates using the chosen supplied volume/response/custom base. A positive-weight segment without responses makes the weighted score undefined.

Raw positive response share (%)

Sum positive/sum responses×100.

Recorded survey responses

Sum responses across disjoint segments.

Responses / contacts (%)

Responses/contacts×100; no nonrespondent sentiment is inferred.

Positive share by observed segment (%)

Positive/responses×100 per segment, keeping zero-response segments undefined.

Symbols and units
a
Segments: name, contacts, survey responses, positive responses, custom weight
b
Weight base: volume, responses or custom

Use the units shown. A list keeps the order in which you enter its values. The symbol ^ means “raised to the power of”.

Assumptions & limits

Assumptions & limits

  • A supplied aggregate-survey weighting illustration. Volume weighting is a chosen assumption, not proof that respondents represent nonrespondents or that segment sentiment is comparable.
